A section of Bull Road will be closed Monday as state Department of Transportation York County maintenance crews resurface two bridge decks.

Bull Road will be closed between Canal Road and Church Road from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a news release.

The bridge over the Little Conewago Creek, which divides Manchester and West Manchester townships, and the bridge over Fox Run, which separates Dover Township from Conewago Township, will be worked on, officials said.

Crews will remove the top layer of asphalt, apply a thin waterproof membrane and resurface the bridge decks and approaches.

As work is being completed, a detour that follows Church, Greenbriar and Canal roads will be in place. Residents living between the two bridges may want to consider Hilton Avenue as an alternate route, PennDOT advised.

In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled for the following day.
