Alex Hofstrand fired a sizzling 5-under-par 66 on Monday at Hickory Heights Golf Course to win the Boys' 15-18 Blue Division in the final regular-season York County Junior Golf Association tournament.

Hofstrand's score was the lowest of the season on the YCJGA Tour and YCJGA director Shane Stell said it may have been the lowest round in the seven years he's been associated with the junior golf organization.

It was Hostrand's third victory in six YCJGA events this summer.

Josh Rinehart fired an even-par 71 at the Spring Grove-area course, but still finished second, five shots behind Hofstrand. Dalton Deardorff, Andrew Geesey, Isaiah Logue and Nicholas Geiman each fired 73s. On a match-of-cards tiebreakers, Deardorff got credit for third place, followed by Geesey, Logue and Geiman.

In the Boys' 15-18 White Division, James Davis took first with a 79, followed by Kyle Williams at 82. John Bagnall and Andy Stewart each fired 83s, but Bagnall got third on the match-of-cards tiebreaker.

Evan Johnson captured the Boys' 14-and-Under Division at 78, just one shot ahead of Andrew Forjan. Gus Minkin was third at 80.

Rebecca Ream took the Girls' Division championship with an 82, while Jessica Weaver was second at 83 and Erin Gladfelter was third at 84.

The final event on the YCJGA schedule is the Match Play Championship, set for July 31 and Aug. 1 at Grandview Golf Club.
