Northern York County Regional Police Department has arrested a Dover Township man for the June 30 robbery of a Turkey Hill Minit Market.
Joseph Michael Kingston, 23, of 2600 Carlisle Road, was arrested at his home Wednesday, police said. He faces arraignment on charges of robbery, simple assault, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, and reckless endangerment.
The store is located at 2820 Carlisle Road, just down the street from Kingston's home. About 2:30 a.m. on June 30, a store clerk said a robber entered the store and displayed a knife. He ordered the clerk to open the cash register, took cash out of the register, and took several packs of cigarettes on his way out of the store.
Kingston is also charged with robbery, theft and receiving stolen property for a June 27 incident. A woman was at a car wash in the 2600 block of Carlisle Road, getting change out of her purse, when Kingston allegedly ripped the purse from her hands and ran away, disappearing into nearby woods.
