A Shrewsbury Township man waived his preliminary hearing Thursday on charges stemming from a June robbery at a school in Shrewsbury Borough.

Trayvon Randolph, 18, of Grant Court remains in York County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, charged with two counts of robbery and one count each of theft, receiving stolen property and simple assault.

A 24-year-old Shrewsbury man met with three people in the parking lot of Shrewsbury Elementary School for a suspected drug deal about 4:15 p.m. on Jun 27, Southern Regional Police had said.

The three men robbed the man of cash and his cellphone, police said.

One of the robbers had a can of deodorant inside a rolled-up paper bag to make it look like a firearm, police said.

Police arrested Randolph and a 17-year-old male, who police allege was one of the three people involved in the robbery, at Randolph's home. The third man, a 39-year-old Baltimore City resident, was questioned by police and released.

On Friday, the teen plead guilty in York County Common Pleas Court to conspiracy to commit robbery, a felony, police said.

Randolph's next court date has not yet been scheduled.
