The start of a road project on Windy Hill Road in Shrewsbury Township has been rescheduled. The road work, which will require the road to be closed for nearly four months, is starting July 23 instead of Monday, according to the state's Department of Transportation.

Crews will replace a small bridge over an unnamed tributary to Deer Creek, between Route 851 and East Tolna Road, and do some repaving, according to the state's Department of Transportation.

A detour will direct motorists around the closure via Route 851and Main Street. The intersection with Deer Creek Road just south of the bridge will also be closed.

The $870,000 project is scheduled to be finished by early November.
