Nine York County boys' volleyball players have earned all-state recognition from the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association.
Eight local players were named to the Class AA team, while one York County player made the Class AAA team.
York Suburban, which finished second in the state in the PIAA Class AA Tournament, led the way with four all-state players -- 5-11 senior setter Kody Deiter, 5-11 senior outside hitter Fred Gard, 6-4 senior opposite Ted Hinnenkamp and 6-3 sophomore middle hitter Jacob Kauffman.
Northeastern and Dover each had two selections to the AA team. Dover was a PIAA semifinalist, while Northeastern was a quarterfinalist.
The Bobcats were represented by 6-2 junior outside hitter Stephen Braswell and 6-3 sophomore setter Luke Braswell.
Dover's honorees were 6-4 senior outside hitter Ryan Lamparter and 6-2 senior outside hitter Tyler Lehman.
In addition, Deiter, Gard, Hinnenkamp, Lamparter, Lehman and Stephen Braswell were also named to the PIAA Class AA All-Tournament Team.
Dallastown's Barrett Wingard, a 6-5 senior outside hitter, was the lone local player on the Class AAA all-state team.
A total of 31 players earned all-state honors in AAA, while 30 were honored in AA.
