Relief from the heat is on the way.
In fact, after a forecasted high of 91 degrees Sunday, temperatures aren't expected to top the 90-degree barrier again for at least a week.
The National Weather Service is predicting a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day on Sunday, mostly after 10 a.m.
The chance of rain drops to 30 percent Sunday evening.
Then it's hello, cooler temperatures, with highs expected to reach 84 on Monday through Wednesday, then reaching about 88 degrees Thursday and Friday.
Monday is supposed to be partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers. The next chance for precipitation, according to the long-range forecast, is Thursday night into Friday morning.
