Two men were shot early Wednesday morning at a York City bar.

Officers were dispatched to Ultra Violets bar, 370 Kings Mill Road, for a report of a shooting about 1:20 a.m., according to York City Police.

An unknown person shot James Abney of East Cottage Place in the back and Kevin Thomas of North Tremont Street in a leg, police said.

Both Abney and Thomas were taken to York Hospital for treatment, police said.

A hospital spokeswoman said neither man was listed in the hospital's patient directory Wednesday evening.
