West York's baseball team, which captured the Class AAA state title last month with a 9-6 victory over Lampeter-Strasburg at State College, received their first official honor Tuesday evening before the start of York Revolution's game against Somerset at Sovereign Bank Stadium.

 

The Bulldogs were introduced to the crowd as they lined up along the first base line.

 

Then the players got to watch the game from up in a skybox.

 

Besides receiving recognition from various area businesses and county and municipal governments, there will be a parade in West

York, followed by a ceremony at the high school, on July 12.

 

The parade, which the public is invited to attend, will be kick off at West York Area High School, located at 1800 Bannister St., at 6 p.m.
