A 30-year-old woman was attacked and killed by a deer in Lower Windsor Township on Friday evening, according to York County Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley.
Natalie Shaffer, of the 100 block of Forge Hill Road in Wrightsville, was attacked by a deer while she was in a pen where her family kept several deer, the coroner said.
Shaffer suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:44 p.m. on Friday, said the coroner.
The Lower Windsor Township Police Department and the Pennsylvania Game Commission are investigating the incident, he said.
