The York Art Association will offer several classes for adults in July and August at the studio, 220 S. Marshall St. in Springettsbury Township, in a new format for the summer.

Each class runs 1-4 p.m. four consecutive days, Monday through Thursday, and each week offers a different class and instructor. Classes are open to students over 12 at all levels of expertise unless otherwise noted. Cost for each weekly session is $65.

Classes are:

-- July 9-12 : Reverse painting on glass and "sandwich collage" with Thom Kulp

-- July 16-19: Watercolor Works, with Ron Schloyer

-- July 23-26 or July 30-Aug. 2: Open Studio, with Barb Buchanan, for intermediate to advanced students. Students enrolling both weeks receive a $10 discount.

-- Aug. 6-9: Mixed Media, with Ron Schloyer

-- Aug. 13-16: Oil and Acrylic Painting, with Pat Wertz.
