A few Carroll Township residents found a toddler wandering around on Baltimore Road recently, and the child's mother has been charged by police.
The 2-year-old was left unattended in a backyard kiddy pool and somehow made it out onto the road, according to township Police.
Police charged the child's mother, Christina Smith, 32, with endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of reckless endangerment.
The incident happened on June 13, according to online court documents.
Residents found the child and stopped traffic in order to get the child off the road, police said.
