Red Lion managed only one hit against New Oxford on Sunday, but it turned out to be a game-winning blast.
Devin Gohn's two-out, two-run homer down the left-field line in the bottom of the third inning gave his team a 2-0 victory over New Oxford in an American Legion baseball game at Red Lion.
Glenn Dietrich, who walked, was on base when Gohn connected.
Red Lion pitcher Tyler Myers turned in an excellent performance with seven shutout innings to earn the victory. Myers allowed two hits, a single and a double. He struck out five batters and walked four.
New Oxford's Anthony Lippy was the hard-luck loser. Lippy recorded five strikeouts and two walks.

WRIGHTSVILLE 2, DALLASTOWN 1: At Wrightsville, Terry Godfrey stopped Dallastown on two hits to win a terrific pitching duel with Nolan Tome. Thomas Taylor and Brady Prowell cracked doubles for Wrightsville, which scored single runs in the first and fourth innings. Dallastown entered the scoring column in the sixth. Godfrey struck out seven batters and walked two. Tome recorded three strikeouts and three walks while allowing nine hits.
