A York City man was shot early Sunday morning and is being treated at the York Hospital, according to York City Police.
Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Wayne Avenue for a reported shooting at 1:59 a.m., according to a police news release.
On their way to the scene, police were informed that the victim was on his way to York Hospital by private vehicle and the shooter had fled the area in a vehicle, the news release said.
The victim, Angel A. Vega-Eaton, 21, was shot once in the groin area and is being treated at York Hospital for the non-life threatening injury, according to the news release.
Vega-Eaton lives in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue.
There are no known suspects, the news release said.
