York area residents can expect another hot, sunny day on Sunday, with a high of 86 degrees.

But the National Weather Service is expecting showers and thunderstorms to move into the area Sunday night, when the chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

The chance of rain extends into Monday especially the morning, when the chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Clouds will eventually give way to sunny skies on Monday, when the high will be about 79, the weather service said.
