York City Mayor Kim Bracey's Take 10 on Tuesday program has earned the city national recognition.

Bracey unveiled the program, which urges residents and business owners to spend 10 minutes on Tuesday's cleaning city streets, in February 2011.

York was one of 10 small cities recognized by the U.S. Conference of Mayors with a City Livability Award at the group's annual meeting last week.

According to a city news release, the livability program "honors mayors and their city governments for developing innovative programs that enhance the quality of life in urban areas."
