A former York County man was killed in an early morning house fire in Cambria County on Tuesday.

Francis A. Goulart III, 26, formerly of West Manchester Township, died of smoke inhalation, said Dennis Kwiatkowski, the Cambria County Coroner.

A fire at Goulart's Ebensburg apartment was reported at 2:10 a.m., Kwiatkowski said.

Goulart was found dead inside the apartment.

Goulart had moved to Ebensburg, located about 25 west of Altoona, and was working a law clerk for a Cambria County judge, Kwiatkowski said.
