Alex Hofstrand fired a 5-over-par 77 on Monday to win the Boys' 15-18 Blue Division in the inaugural York County Junior Golf Association Tournament of the 2012 season at Royal Manchester Golf Links.
Hofstrand finished one shot ahead of Isaiah Logue and two shots clear of Wesley Ashton.
Byron Markle captured the Boys' 15-18 White Division with an 81, one shot better than Michael Gruver. John Bagnall was third with an 84.
Evan Johnson took the Boys' 14-and-Under Division with a 77. He won a tiebreaker over Conner Bacha, who also shot 77. Gus Minkin took third at 78.
The Girls' Division crown went to Jessica Weaver with a 91. Rebecca Ream took second at 92, while JuliAnne Lee was third at 94.
Austin Mertz had a hole in one on No. 15.
The next YCJGA golf event of the season is Monday at Bon Air Country Club near Glen Rock.

TEEN GETS HOLE IN ONE AT BRIARWOOD WEST: Brett Reiber, 14, had a hole in one on Sunday at Briarwood West Golf Club. Reiber used a 3-hybrid to ace the 170-yard 17th hole. It was his first career hole in one. It was witnessed by Scott Reiber, Greg Reiber and Buzz Gordon.
HANOVER MAN GETS ACE AT BRIARWOOD EAST: Hanover's Westley Runkle recently had a hole in one on Monday at Briarwood East Golf Club. Runkle used a 7-iron to ace the 135-yard 14th hole. It was witnessed by Ryan Runkle and Jake Sponseller.
