Two Delta pool teams -- Waiting on a Break and Ralph's Team -- will compete for the $25,000 top prize at the 2012 American Poolplayers Association Eight-Ball National Team Championship-Open Division.

More than 700 teams are expected to compete from across North America. The event is set for the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from Aug. 19-25. The event features more than $1 million in guaranteed prize money.

Both local teams are members of the APA Pool League and participate in weekly league play at John S. Murphy VFW Post No. 7130 in Delta.

Waiting on a Break team members include: Dave Holmes, Larry Smith Jr., Gale Smith, Lance Roycroft, Tim Kluchinsky, George Schruefer Jr. and Eric Schruefer. The members of Ralph's Team are: Ralph Grafton, Robert Andrews, Brandon Shiflett, Kirk Roycroft, Debbie Grafton, Pam Andrews, Louis Grafton and Tiffany Andrews.
