A 19-year-old Hanover man was arrested last week when he allegedly tried to sell pipe bombs to an undercover state police trooper.

Brady Candeloro is charged with three counts each of weapons of mass destruction, risking a catastrophe and prohibited offensive weapons, according to online court documents. He is free on $5,000 unsecured bail, documents state.

Candeloro allegedly met the trooper in a parking in the 3700 block of Centennial Road in Conewago Township, Adams County, to sell the trooper the bombs, about 4:40 p.m. Friday, police said.

Candeloro was arrested without incident ,and police found three pipe bombs, police said. The bombs were disarmed by the state police Hazardous Devices and Explosive Section, police said.

It doesn't appear Candeloro has any ties to an organized criminal element, and the incident appears to have been isolated, police said.
