Metro Bank has announced the kickoff of its summer reading program, Reading Rocks, to encourage children to continue to read during their summer break.
Through the program, Metro Bank will pay $10 to children who read 10 books and complete a Reading Rocks brochure by Sept. 30. Brochures are available at partnering libraries in Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties.
Children simply write down in the brochure the titles of the 10 books they read. The completed brochure can be redeemed at any Metro Bank. Metro Bank will then deposit $10 into the child's existing Young Savers account or help them open a new one.
