After two nights of being defeated by the Pennsylvania Posse, "The King of the Outlaws" upheld the honor of the touring pros on Saturday evening at Williams Grove Speedway.
Steve Kinser won Saturday's 30-lap World of Outlaws feature at the Grove and collected $12,000. Kinser then also won the "Morgen Cup" to add another $4,000 to his winnings.
Kinser started third, and took the lead from Craig Dollansky on the seventh lap. He went on to win over Thomasville's Greg Hodnett. The win was the first of the season for the man who has won more than 900 sprint-car features. Danny Lasoski finished third, with Lance Dewease and Dollansky in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Aaron Ott, Daryn Pittman, Stevie Smith, Danny Dietrich and York's Adam Wilt.
The Morgen Cup match race saw Kinser lead all 12 laps to top Pittman, Justin Henderson, Dollansky, Dewease, Fred Rahmer, Donny Schatz, Wilt, Chad Kemenah and Joey Saldana.
On Friday at the Grove, it was Rahmer who won the 25-lap Outlaw feature. Rahmer collected $8,000 for his 86th career Grove sprint-car win.
Rahmer started third, fell back as far as fourth and then rallied in the closing stages, taking the lead from Hodnett on the 21st lap, just before Jason Sides, who led the first 18 laps, crashed. The win was Rahmer's first of the season.
Pittman finished second with Hodnett and Dietrich making it a Posse sweep of the top four. Kinser was fifth, followed by Stevie Smith, Donnie Kreitz Jr., Sammy Swindell, Dollansky and Lucas Wolfe.
OTHER DIRT TRACK RESULTS
HEIMBACH WINS AT SELINSGROVE: Blane Heimbach won Saturday's Jack Gunn Memorial Race at Selinsgrove.
The Mach 1 Chassis 360/358 Sprint Car Challenge Series race was sanctioned by URC. Heimbach collected $3,500 for his fourth career Gunn Memorial win.
Fairview Township's Pat Cannon finished second, with Davie Franek in third. Nate Snyder and Jason Shultz completed the top five.
Rounding out the top 10 were Mark Smith, Robbie Stillwaggon, Cody Keller, Ryan Bohlke and Colby Womer.
Tony Adams won the late-model feature, besting Jim Bernheisel. Newberrytown's Coleby Frye was third, followed by Jeff Smith and Steve Campbell.
John Fowler Jr. was the roadrunner winner.
ALLEN SHINES AT TRAILWAY: Hanover's Jacob Allen won Friday's 358 sprint-car feature at Trailway Speedway.
Allen's win was his first at Trailway this season, and second overall for the year.
Ryan Wilson finished second, with Manchester's Austin Hogue in third. Lewisberry's Kyle Moody and Hanover's Cris Eash completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Keith Prutzman, Hanover's Tim Wagaman, Stewartstown's Randy Whisler, Spring Grove's Zach Eucalano and Wes Irwin.
Pat Beard won the limited-late-model feature over Stoverstown's Cam Zeigler. Travis Mease, Dover's Gene Knaub and Grant Adams completed the top five.
Terry Hartlaub won the limited-stock feature.
The Legends racers were part of both the Friday and Saturday shows at Trailway. On Friday, Scott Houdeshell drove to the victory over Tim Henry, with York's Lucas Montgomery in third. Scott Gobrecht and Bob Stough completed the top five.
On Saturday, Jason Rochelle won the Legends feature over Henry, with York's Bill Diehl in third. York's Rick Miller and Greg Burd completed the top five.
York teenager Chase Dietz scored his second 600cc micro-sprint win in a row with a last-lap pass. Bo Gordon finished second, followed by Brad Weber, Josh Mering and Jeremy Glass.
The 270cc micro-sprint feature went to Bill Laughman over Chad Myers, Jim Still, Brian Marriott and Nik Gower.
