Dietrich

Chalk one up for the Pennsylvania Posse.

Lincoln Speedway point leader Danny Dietrich used home-track advantage to best the World of Outlaws on Thursday night in what was billed as the Gettysburg Clash.

Dietrich claimed $6,000 for his victory in the 30-lap sprint-car feature. It was his second Lincoln win in 2012.

The Aspers driver started seventh and took the lead from Sam Hafertepe Jr. on the sixth lap, and then fended off Lance Dewease to score the victory by 1.17 seconds in front of a large crowd at the Pigeon Hills oval.

Hafertepe finished third, with York's Cory Haas coming from the 17th-starting spot for fourth. Lucas Wolfe completed the top five.

Rounding out the top 10 were Kevin Nouse, Donny Schatz, Fred Rahmer, Daryn Pittman and Gerard McIntyre Jr.

The heat winners were Wolfe, Chad Kemeneh, McIntyre and Doug Esh. Bill Stine took the C-Main, while Brad McClelland captured the B-Main. Dewease took the Dash and Sammy Swindell posted the fast time in time trials at 14.50 seconds.

It was the first Outlaw race at Lincoln since 1998. The race was originally scheduled for Wednesday night, but was postponed because of rain and moved to Thursday night.

The Posse and the Outlaws will continue their heated rivalry this weekend, with shows set for Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday nights.
