A driver's anger issues led to his arrest Thursday with a drunk driving charge, West York Police allege.
As an officer was conducting a traffic stop in the 1400 block of West Market Street about 8:40 p.m., a passing motorist yelled an expletive followed by a slang term for police officers at the officer, police said.
The officer pulled over the Honda Civic driven by the motorist, Mason G. Kaufman, 22, of Glen Rock, a short distance away because it was being driven erratically, police said.
Kaufman apologized to the officer for yelling at him, saying he has anger problems from previous run-ins with law enforcement, police said.
The officer noticed multiple empty beer bottles, along with a few full beer bottles, in Kaufman's car and put him through field sobriety tests, police said.
Kaufman failed the tests, was arrested and taken to York Hospital for a blood test, police said.
From there, he was taken to central booking to be arraigned on DUI and disorderly conduct charges, police said.
