West York Police allegedly found more than they bargained for when they stopped to check out a car that had its driver's side door open early Sunday.
Officers on patrol came across the Nissan Maxima parked at an entrance of a parking lot in the first block of North Highland Avenue about 3 a.m., police said.
Inside the car they found Neil Shue of Red Front Road in Lower Windsor Township passed out, police said.
They also found a duffel bag and a plastic jar police said contained cocaine. Inside the duffel bag was another jar. This one contained marijuana, police said.
Also inside the duffel bag, officers found a bag with marijuana in it and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Shue was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.
He was taken to Central Booking and released on his own recognizance after he was arraigned, according to online court documents.
While searching Shue's car, they also found a 40 caliber Springfield pistol, which Shue has a valid license to carry, police said.
Considering the nature of the incident, police are requesting that the York County Sheriff's Department revokes the license, police said.
