The York office of the state Department of Transportation released a list of jobs to be performed Monday through Friday. Work is slated to be performed between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Two roads in York County will be closed sometime this week for scheduled work.

Blue Ball Road between Hickory and Pleasant Valley roads in East Hopewell Township, and Pleasant Avenue between New School Lane and Hess Farm Road in North Hopewell Township will be closed for pipe work.

Crews will also be out at various locations throughout the county for boom mowing, brush cutting and bridge cleaning.

Restrictions: There will be lane restrictions, with flaggers in place at most locations, at the following locations:

* Tunnel Hill Road between Route 616 and Days Mill Road in North Codorus Township for roadwork.

* Krebs Road between Routes 616 and 516 in Codorus Township for oil and chipping.

* Old Trail Road between Route 392 and Interstate 83 in Newberry Township for oil and chipping.

* Yocumtown Road between Old Trail and Valley roads in Newberry Township for oil and chipping.

* Nursery Road between Cool Creek Road and Route 124 in Lower Windsor Township for oil and chipping.

* Stonewood Road between Mountain and Millers Mill roads in Springettsbury and Hellam townships for oil and chipping.

* Old Orchard Road between Freysville and Witmer roads in Hellam Township for oil and chipping.

* Kreutz Creek Road between Tower and Tracey School roads in Hellam Township for oil and chipping.

* Creek Road between Route 194 and Kralltown Road in Washington Township for pipe work.

* Woodbine Road between Bridgeton Road and Route 851 in Fawn Township for shoulder work.

* Delta Road between New Bridgeville Road and the state line in Peach Bottom Township for shoulder work.

* Interstate 83 between Exits four and 16 for crack sealing.

* Lewisberry Road between the Conewago Creek and Susquehanna trail in Manchester Township for crack sealing.

Bridge work: Additionally, the Interstate 83 bridge, also called the John Harris Memorial Bridge, over the Susquehanna River in Dauphin County will be down to a single lane during the overnight hours this week.

The work will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday, Greg Penny, PennDOT spokesman, said in a news release.

Traffic in both directions will be down to a single lane.

County maintenance crews will be repairing the bridge joints and cleaning out drainage facilities on the bridge, Penny said.

Motorists are urged - for their safety as well as for the safety of the work crews - to be alert to the operation and to slow down when approaching and driving through the work zone, he said.
