Southern Regional Police is asking for the public's help in tracking down two people who cut wires to a Shrewsbury grocery store.
Officers were dispatched to 65 E. Forrest Ave. about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious person walking around the Saubel's Markets store, according to police.
When police arrived, a second person, a male, took off running with officers in pursuit. Another person was on the roof of the store but jumped down and also fled the scene, police said.
State police and a police dog were called in to aid officers in the search for the suspects but they got away.
Police did recover a backpack with tools in it and discovered the phone and video surveillance cables to the business had been cut.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 235-3944, or leave an anonymous tip with York County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-877-409-4321.
