The Penn State York baseball team endured a tough trip to western Pennsylvania over the weekend.
On Saturday at Penn State Fayette, the local Lions got swept in a doubleheader, 3-0 and 12-11.
Then on Sunday at Penn State Beaver, the Yorkers lost two more, 2-1 and 9-2.
At Fayette on Saturday, PSY got a complete-game four-hitter from Norbert Rodriguez in the 3-0 setback.
In the 12-11 loss to Fayette, PSY got a big offensive games from Tyler Page (three hits, two runs), Ryan Leader (three hits, two RBIs), Rodriguez (two hits, two runs, two RBIs), Rob MacCubbin (two hits, one run) and Trevor Neff (two hits, one RBI).
In PSY's 2-1 loss to Beaver, Page pitched a complete-game eight-hitter. Neff had an RBI double to account for York's only run.
John Smith had two hits for PSY in the 9-2 defeat vs. Beaver.
The Yorkers fell to 3-13 on the season.
