Dallastown moved within a half game of first-place South Western in the York-Adams League Division I boys' tennis standings on Thursday afternoon.

The Wildcats swept past New Oxford, 7-0, to improve to 5-0 in the division and 10-1 overall. South Western (11-1 overall) leads the division at 6-0. New Oxford fell to 10-2 and 3-2.

Dallastown is scheduled to play host to South Western next Tuesday afternoon in a match that will go a long way toward determining the division champion.

Adam Gante, Andy Murray and Aaron Inkrote won in singles and doubles to lead the Wildcats. Payce Berridge and Kyle Salaga also won in singles for Dallastown.

Murray and Berridge each won three-set thrillers. Murray's win over Mike Gruver at No. 2 singles came down to a third-set tiebreaker that Murray won, 8-4.

OTHER BOYS' TENNIS

SUSQUEHANNOCK 4, BIGLERVILLE 3: At Glen Rock, the Warriors won four out of the five singles matches to capture the York-Adams Division II victory. Zach Hanson, Jordan Baublitz, Dan Ferraro and Shane Bookhulz each picked up singles victories. For the Canners, Cole Herzing won a singles match. Susquehannock improved to 5-1 in the division, good for second place behind York Suburban (4-0). The Warriors are 9-3 overall. The Canners dropped their first division match, falling to 4-1 (8-2 overall).

DOVER 4, SPRING GROVE 3: At Spring Grove, Levi Peters and Max Strickler won the No. 2 doubles match in straight sets to allow the Eagles to capture the York-Adams Division I match. Peters, Cameron Miller and Brent Schreiber each won a singles match for the Eagles. For the Rockets, Chris Mathews and Jeremey Seitz-Brown each won a singles match, while Mathews teamed with Elijah Robert to win the No. 1 doubles match.
