A woman made off with an undisclosed amount of cash during a Springettsbury Township bank robbery Monday afternoon.
She walked up to a teller at the Susquehanna Bank branch at 2508 Eastern Blvd. about 3:45 p.m. and demanded money, according to township police.
After receiving cash, the woman fled in a maroon Dodge Caravan with a Pennsylvania license plate of HSM-4213, police said.
She is described as white, 20 to 30 years old, 5-feet-6, and about 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and a baseball cap, police said.
Police got the license-plate number of the minivan because the woman apparently went inside a bank in Wrightsville on Monday morning and acted suspiciously enough that tellers there wrote down her license-plate number, according to 911 radio transmissions.
On Tuesday morning, township police had tracked down the Caravan and were seizing it, according to police.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the location of the van is asked to call Springettsbury Township Police at 757-3525.
