The York County Coroner's Office has ruled Sudden Infant Death Syndrome as the cause of death of a 3-month-old boy found dead in a Dover apartment in November.

Northern York County Regional Police were called to the apartment in the first block of Main Street on Nov. 16 because the infant had died.

Police said there were "extremely poor living conditions" in the apartment, with dog urine and feces present in the living room. There were piles of dirty dishes in the kitchen, along with bags of open garbage sitting on the kitchen table, and insects were seen throughout the house.

Police said the mother, Stacy Laws, 24, was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of children. Two other boys, ages 3 and 5, were removed from the home and placed in protective custody, police said.
