Giant Food Stores has removed an Odwalla protein drink from shelves after shoppers reported allergic reactions to the product, the company announced Friday.

Consumers allergic to tree nuts and pine nuts have reported severe reactions to Odwalla Chocolate Protein Monster, prompting Odwalla Inc. to recall the beverage. The affected products have a use-by date of May 23.

Customers who purchased the drink should discard any remaining portions and bring their receipts to any Giant for a full refund.
