It could be a stormy day in York on Wednesday.
York has a chance of showers between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Accompanying the rain will be west winds of 15-18 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph Wednesday night. The high will be 72 and the low 47.
The NWS also warned that winds of 45-50 mph are possible around central Pennsylvania ahead of a strong cold front that will move through the area late Wednesday morning and Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday will be partly sunny and breezy, with northwest winds of 11-21 mph, the forecast said. Thursday's high will be 57 and the low near 32.
Friday will be mostly sunny, with a slight chance of rain overnight, the forecast said. Friday's high will be 57 and the low 42.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, the NWS said. The high will be 58 and the low 41.
Sunday will be partly sunny, with a high of 61 and low of 45, the forecast said.
Monday will be mostly sunny and warmer, with a high of 72 and low of 46, the forecast said.
