En route to the on deck circle, York Revolution's Ramon Castro greets Ebon Proctor who touches his bat before each at-bat for luck. (Bill Kalina)
Ebon Proctor rises from his front row seat as Ramon Castro enters the on-deck-circle to bestow his luck upon the bat of the York Revolution slugger. The fourteen-year-old gives the infielder a quick hug with one arm and rests his other hand on the lumber.

"It's the first time I've done that with somebody," Castro says. "He's a very special guy because he's coming everyday to the stadium, he knows everybody, and that's good for the team. He touches my bat and that's my good luck."

The first time he did it, Ebon says, Ramon got two doubles on the night, and he's been using Ebon's lucky touch ever since, becoming a contender for the Atlantic League batting crown.

Although Ebon watches the game alone while his father works in food service at the stadium, he is no stranger to fans in section 9 and beyond. "There's nothing better than watching baseball when Ebon's around," says section 9-ticket holder Merrill Whye of Dallastown. "He knows the game of baseball."
