Sgt. Craig Losty, who runs York County's tactical division of the Quick Response Team, volunteered to work with the York County Law Enforcement Exploring cadets this past weekend.
    About 10 cadets received one-on-one instruction for using tactical equipment — bunker shields; airsoft guns, which are assault rifle replicas; and blue guns, which are handgun replicas.The program is run by area police officers who teach the cadets a different aspect of the field each month. This past Saturday the cadets split into two groups — one learned QRT techniques and the other learned to properly fire handguns.
    About 16 law enforcement officials from York City Police, York County Sheriff, West Manchester Township Police, Springettsbury Township Police and Northern York County Regional Police departments work with the cadets. Each instructor has a different background — crime scene investigation, firearms, hostage negotiation, patrol and quick response — to demonstrate
