She said she has been attending classes at Harrisburg Area Community College.
"I will be one of the first" to be cut, with seven years at the plant, but "I'm glad Harley made a decision now. It has been a weight on my shoulders since May. At least we know there is a light at the end of the tunnel."
---Cavin Scott, 48, Progress, Dauphin County

"I can retire at 55 or 30 years, so this will be last contract for me hopefully. I really feel for some of my co-workers with young kids or kids in college," however, "some have already applied for other jobs. Everybody is not down, they are rebounding. They're not having a pity party."
---Russell Fisher, 54, New Oxford

"We took it, but not a good feeling. It was fortunate for me, because I am retiring, but I feel bad for my fellow workers. Like in anything else, with time, things will settle and it will be fine. ... All these years we had it so good and we were spoiled. Now it's like a reality set in. ... I am going to miss Harley for what it was."
---Paul Gorham, 62, Springettsbury Town ship
"I kind of expected all of this. The economy hasn't been good."

---Joe Sinclair, 54, Springfield Township
"I think it's a good thing. I didn't like the contract, but at least we have a job. It wasn't a good thing but we did what we had to do."
"I think things will be considerably different. It's going to be kind of a little harder to work there, but at least I got a job. I'm 54, I can retire with this job. At least the place is still staying in York, and they've got jobs."
