Officials in Kentucky are still preparing for Harley-Davidson to relocate from the company's York County plant to Shelbyville if a union deal isn't reached in York.

The (Shelbyville, Ky.) Sentinel-News reported that the Shelby County Fiscal Court's magistrates voted Monday to allow County Judge-Executive Rob Rothenburger to execute an agreement between Harley and the Shelby County Industrial and Development Foundation to purchase land for a plant should the company relocate.

Planners and other county officials in Kentucky have been working to rezone the land before Wednesday's union vote in York, the newspaper reported.
