Change coming at the voting booth
I read with great interest the letter from state Sen. Mike Stacks published Oct 16 in The York Dispatch in which he stated he was going to sponsor a bill requiring elected officials and cabinet members, as well as the governor, to forfeit their pay if a budget was not passed by June 30 of each year.
What a splendid idea. What a refreshing idea. What a wonderful idea. I sincerely hope that he can get the support from his fellow senators and representatives.
We need more state senators like Mike Waugh, Mike Stacks and others who truly represent the people who elected them.
I firmly believe that the American people want change for the better and I believe that changes are coming at the voting polls in months and years to come.
