An "early bird" contract agreement has been reached between the Eastern York School District and its teachers, according to Darla Pianowski, the district's superintendent.
She released a statement Thursday that a three-year contract agreement has been reached between the district's administration, school board and the Eastern York Education Association, which represents 191 teachers.
Contract details were not immediately released. However, the district saved money by reaching an agreement without the additional fees associated with using a solicitor or mediator throughout the process, Pianowski said in the statement.
The current contract expires June 30.
