The man killed in a fatal car accident Wednesday morning has been identified.
Connor Waterfield, 21, was struck by a pickup truck as he was standing on Twin Hills Road just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, said Deputy Coroner Steve Cosey.
Cosey said Waterfield, of Shugart Road in Carlisle, was hit as he was trying to get his 2003 GMC pickup truck out of a ditch on the side of the road.
Northern Regional Police say Waterfield was struck by a 2001 Nissan pickup truck, driven by Mark Hanusa of Stephanie Drive in Franklin Township.
According to a release from police, there was heavy fog that reduced visibility at the time of the incident, and the road was icy.
Waterfield was pronounced dead at the scene and the incident was ruled accidental, Cosey said.
Northern Regional Police are following up on the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 717-292-3647.
