A recent federal inspection determined Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station is meeting all objectives for public health and safety.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission sent a letter this week to Michael Pacilio, senior vice president of Exelon Generation Co., informing him of the agency's findings.
Exelon is the parent company of the Delta-based plant and other nuclear power facilities in the state.
The assessment conducted on Feb. 12 concluded Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3 had very low safety significance and all plant operations were within the nominal, expected range, according to the letter.
Though Peach Bottom is meeting federal standards, the NRC will continue to conduct routine follow-up inspections at the nuclear power plant.
A copy of the NRC's recent inspection is available for public review on the agency's website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
