Prominent businesspeople in the York area are being accused of having a big heart. They're volunteering to be arrested and serve time Wednesday in a mock jail at Heritage Hills Golf Resort and Conference Center, in an effort to raise money for services benefiting local adults and children living with neuromuscular disease in York County.

The York Lock-Up, held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will have an honorary judge sentence each participant to raise bail by calling friends and business associates and encouraging contributions to advance MDA's programs. Heritage Hills will provide cellblock space and lunch. More than 120 York-area executives and civic leaders are expected to serve their sentences behind bars for MDA.

Anyone interested in volunteering for or participating in this Lock-Up, or to nominate someone to participate in another MDA Lock-Up, contact the local MDA office at (717) 293-0685.
