Several more hours of searching on Monday morning have so far failed to find a Wrightsville-area man who has been missing since the canoe he was in capsized on Sunday, police said.
Susquehanna Regional Police in Lancaster County have identified the missing man as 63-year-old Robert Brennan.
Shortly after noon on Monday, Lt. Stephen Englert said the search will continue into the afternoon.
There may be a break later Monday afternoon, and the search could extend into the evening, he said.
"We are searching by boat, land and air," Englert said. "We're searching everything south of Shocks Mill Bridge down toward Route 30."
Shocks Mill Bridge is a railroad bridge downstream from the Haldeman riffles.
Canoe capsized: Brennan went missing about 3 p.m. Sunday when the canoe he, his wife and their dog were in capsized just offshore from the Riverfront Park boat launch near Marietta, Maytown-East Donegal Township Assistant Fire Chief Jason Barclay said.
The wife and dog were found safe, he said, and she was treated at the scene by medics.
Brennan and his wife weren't wearing life vests, officials said.
Sunday night's search was called off as darkness fell.
Englert said the area being searched is vast, so it's unclear how long it might take to find Brennan.
Divers will be called out if needed, Englert said.
Check back later for updates.
