A countywide warrant sweep by York City nuisance-abatement officers and others netted 33 arrests of people wanted for 64 outstanding summary warrants, police said.

The sweep happened Monday, and city officers were assisted by state constables and patrol officers, according to a city news release.

All 33 people arrested were taken before District Judge Linda Williams, who collected $7,930 in fines and costs on the outstanding warrants, the release states.

Four people were taken to York County Prison after failing to pay on their fines.

The warrants were for summary offenses including parking and traffic tickets, disorderly conduct and truancy, police said.

More sweeps are being planned, the release states.
