Police are asking for the public's help in finding a woman who found, then took, a wallet or pouch that was accidentally forgotten outside a York Township car wash.

York Area Regional Police said someone accidentally left the wallet or pouch outside a car wash in the 2000 block of South Queen Street on July 11. It held a large amount of cash, the victim's driver's license and other identifying information, according to police.

About 6:15 p.m. the same day, a woman with brown hair drove into the car wash in a gray Kia Soul, saw the pouch/wallet and took it, police said. She has so far not returned the property to its rightful owner, police said.

Anyone who knows the woman in the photo is asked to call York Area Regional Officer Michael Zinn at (717) 741-1259.

York Area Regional Police said the woman they are looking for was driving a gray Kia Soul.
