York Area Regional Police and York County Park Rangers are warning users of area parks about vehicle break-ins that have occurred over the past month.

Police have received reports of items being stolen from vehicles of patrons of the York County Heritage Rail Trail and York Township's Stump Park. The vehicles were in the parking lots along Days Mill Road and Brillhart Station Road.

The vehicles have had windows broken out and items taken from inside.

Police are reminding motorists to keep valuables out of sight or locked in a glove compartment or console.

Anyone who sees anything suspicious, is asked to call 911 to have an officer or ranger check it out. Anyone with additional information call call York Area Regional Police at; 717-741-1259.
