Spraying to control adult mosquito populations that could carry the West Nile virus will be conducted during the evening hours on Monday in Manchester Township.
The spraying will be in the residential and commercial areas in the vicinity of North George Street, from Masonic Drive to Emigsville and east along Woodland View Drive to Grim Lane.
Samples collected by state Department of Environmental Protection point to large mosquito populations capable of transmitting West Nile virus in these areas.
Signs will be posted the day of the spray event to inform local residents. Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel this spray event. The rain date will be Tuesday.
