A new Aldi grocery store opened Thursday morning in York.

The new store at 905 Loucks Road is the third location in York County. The Germany-based discount grocery chain also has stores in Springettsbury Township and Hanover.

Regular store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Aldi revamped nearly 22,000 square feet of retail space in the shopping plaza anchored by Staples and Tractor Supply Co.

It's the only grocery store in the plaza, which also includes Ashley Furniture, Dollar Tree, Petco and restaurants.

The company says it lowers grocery bills by 50 percent.
