Federal officials charged an illegal immigrant with allegedly using a false social security card and birth certificate.
Jose Glarza-Buestan, 29, a citizen of Ecuador, allegedly used the false documents when he met with immigration officials in York City about May 14, according to the United States Attorny's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
If convicted, Galarza-Buestan faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $750,000 fine, a news release says.
The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement and Enforcement and Removal Operations.
