The Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, 50 N. George St., York, announced a new lineup of shows that will include some familiar faces, as well as new acts to York.

The lineup includes a mix of entertainment from musicians, stand-up comedians, variety acts and more. Highlights from the upcoming schedule include:

  • The Time Jumpers - including country stars Vince Gill, Dawn Sears, Kenny Sears and Ranger Doug Green - will perform Nov. 20.
  • Broadway favorites including "Flashdance: The Musical," "Jekyll & Hyde" and "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story" are scheduled to appear on stage.
  • Southern-rock icons 38 Special will perform Oct. 2.
  • Comedians Lewis Black, Paula Poundstone and David Sedaris are scheduled to perform.
  • New holiday shows will include "The Wizards of Winter: A Trans-Siberian Experience," "Lightwire Theater's A Very Electric Christmas" and "Jim Brickman's On A Winter's Night."
  • The Popovich Comedy Pet Theater and the National Acrobats of China will bring family-friendly fun to the Strand-Capitol.
  • Tango Buenos Aires and Compania Flamenca Jose Porcel will present sultry sound and dance.

Tickets for the new shows are on sale now to members, and will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Monday, June 2.
